"Representative DeCoite has been a tireless supporter of our East Maui community, and especially its fight for water, on Maui and at the Capitol. She made numerous in-person visits to our taro farming community, and kept in touch frequently and regularly to see how she could support us. She hiked mountainous cliff side terrain in order to see for herself the damage caused by erosion and landslides, and led the House of Representatives effort to secure major capital improvements project funding to repair it.
